Current BUS grant levels
How the application works
- 01
We assess the home and discuss a suitable heat-pump design.
- 02
Eligibility and the applicable grant category are checked before funding is relied upon.
- 03
An eligible MCS installer applies for the BUS voucher on the owner’s behalf.
- 04
Ofgem contacts the property owner to confirm consent.
- 05
The grant value is reflected in the agreed project payment route, subject to successful completion and redemption.
Common eligibility considerations
- The property is in England or Wales
- The installation replaces an eligible fossil-fuel or direct-electric heating system
- The technology and installer follow the scheme’s requirements
- The owner has a valid EPC and any relevant scheme conditions are met
- Other public funding does not create an excluded combination
